Gray fonts look almost yellow in terminal emulators / How to display Asian languages

1. After installing the NVIDIA drivers for my video card, the gray fonts in my terminal began to look yellow. How do I fix this?

2. How would I get Korean, Thai, and (some) Chinese characters to display on my system? After experimenting with apt and Firefox, I got Japanese working beautifully, along with most Chinese characters, but not all of them quite yet.

1. goodness only knows. Don't nvidia supply a configuration script for this? However: whenever you install proprietary systems, there is little the open source community can do to help. Try complaining to nvidia.

Of course - it may help to tell us what your video card is (lspci).

2. There are quite a few language tutorials. In general, you cannot expect all chinese characters to be used since there are so so many of them. Have a read of:

Any of this help?
