Graphics messed up while installing fedora 10 with gui
when trying to install Fedora 10 DVD with gui, the graphics are messed up, with lines everywhere. It does, however, show the window, but you can't see anything in it, except the buttons. after I get passed the fourth screen, it freezes and I have to reboot.
great - your next step is to update your system and, then, make sure you have the right graphics driver for your card.
The problem you experienced is often due to the installer having a limited range of drivers available. The vesa driver is pretty impressive at getting difficult cards to display something useable even if not all features are supported. However, you'll probably get more satisfaction with a full-featured driver, if one is available.
fedora has lots of drivers built in and others avaliable through repo.
you can check which is being used by examining your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
