Graphical web browser for the console
Hey everyone. I've been searching and searching and can't seem to find the answer to this question. In my quest to totally remove a GUI from life I have switched to Linux. I used to use it reguarly and just recently came back well, just because I'm sick of MS (That's just my feelings, I'm not trying to spark a debate). I've managed to find a console program for just about everything I want to do except for web browsing. Lynx and links are great but they are text only. I found archane but I can't get it to run all stable like which the people who make it tell you from the beginning so I exepected nothing more. My question is simply this, IS there a graphical web browser for the linux console?
Thanks in advance for ANY help guys and girls.

Speaking of graphics in the console, is there even a way at all to display graphics in any console program? Wouldn't you have to have an x-server running?
The thing that confuses me is the bootup process of many distros (like Slackware). When booting, it's in text-mode (I believe) but there's a little penguin graphic at the top. How is this done?

There is at least one graphic browser : links-graphic
It need gpm (for the mouse) and uses framebuffing...
And fbi can display images in the console.

If you have zgv installed, you can even view images from the console command line.

FYI: You would achieve this by typing "links -driver fb" in a shell window.
