Got "init: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes" error in Porteus on startup

I really like Porteus and would like to use it on my laptop and to use the laptop as a word proccesor. (So I have only Libreoffice and whatever came along with Porteus otherwise.) Anyway, I've been delighted with Porteus. It's fast and clean. But today when I booted up I got the

init: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

error message and the error message was in the terminal. (Porteus starts bootting up in the terminal and then switches to the GUI.) And then the error just kept repeating itself.

So I powered down and turned the laptop back on--it worked fine.

But I am planning on using this laptop heavily, day in and day out. Is there something I can do to eliminate this 'init Id' error or should I be looking to install a different distro?

Thanks.

It could be that the X server didn't start for some reason. Anyway you will get better answer on the Porteus forum @ https://forum.porteus.org/

Thanks Didier Spaier. I've used the laptop several times now and it worked perfectly so I'll just assign the issue to being a new install. And thanks for the link. I bookmarked the site. It looks great.
