If you're waiting for someone to type up an entire how-to guide for you, on installing/configuring DNS, you've got a LONG wait.

Why don't you just go to Google, and type in "how to configure DNS on Linux"...amazingly, you'll find LOTS of already done how-to guides, like this:
http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...onfiguring_DNS

You don't tell us what version/distro of Linux, or tell us what you've done/tried so far.

@ nagaramanilkrishna

Setting up a DNS server is a complex subject and the setup can vary from distro to distro. Your best bet is to visit the distro's website and search their online documentation.
