Got a Meego-based netbook. Need to install Windows-based broadband. How?
Hello! I got a Meego-based netbook which is a linux derivative. I need to install a broadband kit software which is Windows-based. What should I do? Need detailed suggestions.

Ask yourself these questions.
Is this Windows based broadband kit a MUST have? If it can be installed am I willing to put up with problems because it is in a foreign OS? If the answer to either of these is No I wouldn't be worrying about attempting to install it. If the answer to either of these is Yes then you could try WINE which is a program that creates a Windows like layer within Linux allowing the installation of Windows applications. WINE can be a hit and miss affair and even on programs that run with it you sometimes miss out on some functions. |
Before we can give you detailed suggestions we need detailed information. What is that for a netbook (Meego runs on x86 and ARM CPUs)? What is that for a broadband kit?
If it is inbuilt please post the output of Code:
lspci Code:
lsusb Code:
cat /proc/cpuinfo |
