Hi guys, myself Shine ,so where do i start, okay i am using win7 ultimate 64 bit and want to switch to linux ,i don't know much abt linux or computer architecture so forgive if i am asking very basic things!.

I study webdesign and 3d animation using maya,

"amd64" is a generic word for 64bit x86-compatible PCs, because AMD were first. So amd64 should work, if you have a 64bit intel processor.
