Good linux for animation and web design

Hi guys, myself Shine :),so where do i start, okay i am using win7 ultimate 64 bit and want to switch to linux ,i don't know much abt linux or computer architecture so forgive if i am asking very basic things!.

I study webdesign and 3d animation using maya,

1] I tried to download deepin's 64bit version but it shows amd64 version,and i have a intel based machine,will it work ?

2] which linux should i use,i really like deepin(awesome ui),but don't know if i will be able to use autodesk maya in it ?,i have seen threads where people have installed it on ubuntu,so is it possible?

3]Is deepin better than Ubuntu ?
Thanks guys, your help would be awesome !

"amd64" is a generic word for 64bit x86-compatible PCs, because AMD were first. So amd64 should work, if you have a 64bit intel processor.
