Gnomemeeting runs slow...

Got the philips webcam working in SuSE 9.1 eventually, and gnomemeeting repaired after gconf errors.

Trouble starts when I connect over a 1.5mbit connection to my parents in laws. They run netmeeting. Netmeeting to netmeeting (when I use windows) is almost instantaneous with excellent sound and video. Very little delay.

Gnomemeeting (my end) to Netmeeting is really slow. The sound is broken to intermittent, and video hardly refreshes.

What can I do to tweak up the settings?

I am runing SuSE 9.1 thru a smoothwall express rig.
