Gnome terminal does not start...? (acts like it's stuck)
mandrake 9.1 + all the updates
everything seems ok except for some reason my terminal window will not come up any more.
wish i had more specifics. all i did all day was change /tmp, /var/www & /var/ftp partitions from ext3 to ext2 and i did relocate /tmp. did all this to put slackware 9.1 on the same system. yes they share the as mentioned partitions but nothing else.
thats about all i did today. had a great day putting slackware on the system though (i use system commander to dual boot that and mandrake and xp)
if there is anything i should look for like maybe hidden gnome files in my home directory please let me know. i remember one time on my mandrake 9.0 install, the gnome terminal lost it's ability to do a transparant background. when i moved a bunch of stuff out of user account, the gnome transparent started working again
anyway, any and all help greatly apprecated.
