Gnome Panel
Hi All,
Does anyone know how to move the Gnome panel (The one with the App menu, etc) to the bottom of the screen from the top? I know this sounds simple but I can't for the life of me figure it out!! Thanks |
If you are talking about the menu bar with the foot.
Drag and Drop On an empty part of the bar, left-click and hold down the mouse button and drag to the bottom of the screen. |
I've tried that but it appears to be "locked"... Is there a way to unlock it, I've tried everything I can think of!!

1) Right-click on an empty space in the bar.
2) New Panel -> Edge Panel 3) Right-click on the new panel to add menus, launchers, and configure appearance 4) When done, right-click on the old panel, and then delete it. |
That's done it, thanks :)
Wonder why they make it so hard... |
There is a much easier way, or should be-- right click on the panel and select "configure" or "settings" or something similar...
You'll get a little picture that lets you select which side of the screen you want your panel to be on. You can also change colours and all kinds of fun stuff in there too. -dave |
