I doubt if their are much worse questions to as ask(extremely flammable) and I'm sure it's a bad idea to answer.

Both wm's can now run eachothers programs no probs but:

KDE = Bells and whistles, easy to config and for XP users to get used to
GNOME = Fairly smart and in my experience faster than KDE. Looks like Win2k or an odler mac OS

Also, XFCE is good but thats a whole different ball game lol
