Gnome or KDE

I am kinda newbie to Linux and I have been using KDE for the last 6 months and I have read alot of people using Gnome what is the difference and which do you guys think is better?

There are literally loads of thread of a similar nature already on this forum. A very quick summary:

KDE = very good for newbs. Is easy to configure to your needs, and is sufficiently like the Windows environment for it to be familiar.

Gnome = very good for newbs. Is easy to configure to your needs, and is sufficiently like the Windows environment for it to be familiar.

It's all about choice. Install both (if you have the space) and use both until you've made up your own mind, and then use whichever one you prefer.

Sooner or later Acid_Kewpie will pop up and suggest that you use BlackBox, then Therion12 will suggest FluxBox, and I can lay claim to using SawFish. It is all about choice. Neither is better than the other, they are just different (although not that different).

KDE is now in its 3rd release (very recent) and I believe that Gnome is due to go v2 soon (currently v1.4?).
