gnome display manager
I have a problem with the Gnome Display Manager. My Debian starts up with the Gnome display manager, but the keyboard layout is all goofed up! I have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Backspace several times to login from the "Dos prompt" (what is that called by the way?) Anyway, how do I change the keyboard layout for the Gnome display manager? The keyboard works fine from KDE or the "Dos prompt"
I admit to being extremely new to all this!
Sounds like something in Gnome is corrupted. Try reinstalling it. Also, the "dos prompt" you refer to is called a virtual terminal or the command-line interface
