Gkrellm
Well I installed it and I have no idea where it's located. How do I find it. I tired locate but i get the following:
[darkghost@localhost darkghost]$ locate bash: locate: command not found And when I try to use Find File under Tools in Konqueror, I still am unable to locate it. I really like the wat it looks. Couls some one please help me out. BTW - I'm using Mandrake 8.2/KDE 3.0.1 |
open a console and type gkrellm
that should start it for ya :cool: |
Tried it but it didn't work. Any other ideas?

make sure you have the locate packages install (and you really really must have already) with rpmdrake, and try using it as root. if it doesn't find it then try /usr/bin/locate as a full path name. if that finds it then it's most likely to be a screwed up path (check with "echo $PATH"). if that's screwed up then maybe you fiddled with the path in .bashrc or smoething?
oh and gkrellm *shuold* be /usr/bin/x11/gkrellm. also try using "which" and "whereis" to locate programs. all similar but do slightly different things oh and don't use LimeWire. :D |
Type updatedb to update locate database first, then run locate gkrellm.

Acid, once again I think you hit it. I thought it was installed. I saw the installed succesfully. But it wasn't. I checke dthat RPMpackager I think and it told me it could be installed, so I did. I checked afterwords and now it works. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Thanks again. Now about this locate thing...........
