Gimp ---- signal/image-processing help

I have problem with my camera, there is always a about 20x20 pixel, on a upper corner.
Luckily its always sky or some uniform background there.

I was wondering if there is gimp way to blend that in with the rest of the picture.

Or is there there any python or perl plugin for gimp to do so ?

I know it can be resolved if we use averaging filter or some thing.

Thanks

Are you wanting some kind of script that will instruct Gimp to "fix" this pixel (assuming you can give Gimp an exact pixel address)? How would Gimp know what to replace this bad pixel with? That would depend on the content of the specific photo you are editing. Depending on the picture, that bad pixel maybe is supposed to be white, or black, or anything in between. You could probably design some very very specific filter that always averages this exact pixel location with those around it. That would be a lot of work to accomplish something that can be done so simply manually. Just grab the "clone" tool and clone over the bad pixel. This gives you the advantage of being able to see the result and possibly alter the cloning opacity and other parameters to give the best result. With a specific filter, you would not have that.
