Gimp
i emerged gimp but i forget the command to start it... this is really annoying. ive tried gimp Gimp gimp2 thegimp thegimp2... to no avail... can some1 help me out with this quick question
|
gimp by itself?
gimp-2.2 if you have them installed in parallel |
didnt work
|
Hmmm ... try
locate -i gimp | grep bin ;} Cheers, Tink |
'apropos gimp' might help if the manpages are installed.
For me, it's 'gimp-2.2', but I'm on slackware and you could be using a different version of the gimp. Does your terminal/shell support tab completion? If it does, try 'gimp<TAB><TAB>' and see if it gives you the possible completions... |
wooooo tab completion thing worked its gimp-2.0 apparently... when did they upgrade to 2.2 cuase i just emerged gimp like a month ago
|
cd /usr/bin
ls -CF | less and look for gimp..... I just emerged gimp last night with no options on a new box and it's in /usr/bin/gimp-2.2 (Gentoo stable tree x86) |
Heh - and then we get gentoo users in the slackware forum
telling us how backward slack is ;} It's on the 10.1 ISO, released on 2005-02-06 Cheers, Tink |
i tried slack 10 and 10.1 but the only beef i had with it was no matter how much i compiled different drivers i couldnt get my internet to work... alas i have found a good distro at last... albeit the install was a b*tch
