Getting started in Open Source
I've been learning about the Open Source movement lately, and am very interested. At this point I'm looking for a way to contribute to a project, but while pretty computer-savvy I do not know how to code.
Does anyone know of a project looking for non-coder volunteers out there? Preferably, I'd like to help with: - An OS-independent or multi-platform application, or - A linux distribution geared toward bringing the OS into the mainstream (i.e. to those who aren't IT professionals). If anyone has any tips on where I could be useful, please drop a message... thanks a lot! |

take a look at their "get involved" section, it shows you all the different ways you can contribute to the project: http://www.arklinux.org/staticpages/...ge=getinvolved just my two cents... |
Hi, and welcome to LQ!
In terms of contribution, you could write documentation or do translation work if you're polyglott ... potential projects are abundant, have a look at e.g. http://sourceforge.net Cheers, Tink |
