Getting Scroll Lock to Work in Ubuntu 9.10
 
Hi,
Can anyone advise how to get the keyboard function Scroll Lock to work in Ubuntu Karmic.

Oh. Scroll lock on my Dell optiplex 330 is not working as well. Strange. It was working with Jaunty.

Ok got this to work with some help from web.

run this command xmodmap -pm.
You should get the output with some mod1 mod2 mod3. Here mod3 should be empty with no value set.

To set the value create the file Xmodmap in /etc/X11/.

sudo vi /etc/X11/Xmodmap

Add this line in the file

add mod3 = Scroll_Lock

Logout and log in again.

Remember to keep the case of the file name.

Getting the Scroll Lock to work in Ubuntu Karmic.
