Getting Redhat 8.0 to use KDE login manager
I'm confused! I want to take advantage of KDE's Login Manager functionality to list users, display an image against their userids, and auto-preselect a user and associated password field. I've configured KDE's to do this via 'Control Center -> System Administration -> Login Manager', but the login screen is unchanged. I'm using Redhat 8.0 and KDE 3.1.
Is Redhat still using GDM, then Gnome Login Manager (I'm not sure because of the Bluecurve theme)? My /etc/sysconfig/desktop says DESKTOP="KDE", but does Redhat ignore this and always use the GDM login manager?
How can I get the KDM functionality I want working?
Thanks for any advice,
