Unhappy Getting On Line

My son built me a Linux Computer that was operating on the internet using a 2Wire DSL Modem which stopped working. I replaced that Modem with a 2Wire DSL 2701 HG-B Modem/Router combination, and it will not let this computer on line. On the other Modem I just plugged the Cat 5 wire in and I was on line, but this one says it is a 802.1A Protected wired Network, and I need a Passphrase or an Encryption Key is needed.
I have 2 other Desktop Windows Computers operating off that sam Modem as well as a Windows Wireless Laptop.
I am at a total loss and I need some assistance, Thanks for any advise you can offer,
rjmac7

Do your other computers work fine with the router/modem?

I can't locate a manual for that modem; do you have some links? Otherwise, if no one else has that modem (and a manual) you'll be stuck reading the manual on your own.
