getting jdk for linux.


Just installed Red-Hat release 9. How do I setup jdk? Where do I get jdk for linux from?

Secondly I also need to configure vim for jdk. please assist me.

Check the RedHat installation cd's for the JDK. If it isn't there, then check the Sun website. You could also use Google to search for it.

vim will automatically highlight java code if the file has the extension .java and if you have syntax highlighting turned on.
:syntax on

checked out java.sun.com
the download is a whopping 97 MB. thats just too huge for me on dialup.

Have a friend w/ broadband DL it for you and burn it to a CD.
