Question Getting ipop3d to work...

Having real problems with this.

I am running RHEL 3 (same as Fedora Core 1). I have configured sendmail to work and it does no problem but when I try to use POP3 to access the mail it gives me "-ERR: Bad login".
Now as you can probably tell, ipop3d is installed and appears to be working. I can telnet to it from a remote machine without a problem but when it comes to logging in, i'm scr*wd!

I've tried authenticating using my user account and the root account. Nither work . I've tried using my full domain e-mail address i.e "myname@mydomain.com", still no joy.
I've even tried accessing POP from the local machine and still get the same problem.

I suspect this is something to do with PAM!? But being a newbie I have no idea what this is or how to correct it.

Help please. This is really p**sing me off!

Brendan
