Getting GXine to work on Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx
 

I just did a fresh install of Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. I used apt-get to install VLC media player, and VLC is working fine. I did the same thing (apt-get install) for gxine, and installed it. However, it refuses to load up. I have tried it with both audio and video. The gxine tab appears in the activity bar for a while, and the tab indicates that it is loading, but the tab eventually disappears. I wonder if there is a bug fix or something that I don't know about? Gxine works fine in Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, which I have in a different hard drive. I wonder if anybody knows anything? - ROX . . .
