Question Getting error when trying to install KDE rpm!!!

I downloaded 35 RPM's (yesterday) from an ftp mirror I found on KDE's website {KDE version 3.1.4} (on RedHat 9) to a folder called "kde" in my home folder. I logged on as root and copyed all of the files on to root's kome (in a folder called "kde"). I clicked on "kdeartwork-3.1.4-0.9x.1.i386.rpm" like it told my to and it went through the updating system thingy. Then it gave me an error that "kdeartwork-3.1.4-0.9x.1.i386.rpm" needed kdebase and kdelibs when they were right in with it in the same folder. I couldn't get enough info from they'r web site. So does anyone have a clue.

Obviously I don't know what I am doing.

You need to install kdebase and kdelibs first - after that you can install whichever of the rest you want.

Rob-n and Jax8 - calm down. Yes he was a little abrupt and yes, he doesn't seem to realise that we all do this on our own time for free, but we don't allow abusive language (even when censored!).

Please edit your posts so that they are more rational.
