Get .bashrc and .bash_profile work with new 64bit cygwin

Successfully installed the new 64bit cygwin and can start with cygwin.bat
@echo off
C:
chdir \cygwin\bin
bash --login -i
I now want to be able to invoke .bashrc and .basc_profile using cygwin.bat
How do I go about this please.

Hi Agnister!

To be specific, this is the version of Cygwin I'm running:

Code:
CYGWIN_NT-6.1-WOW64 w7_x64 1.7.17(0.262/5/3) 2012-10-19 14:39 i686 Cygwin
I normally just use Cygwin by starting a Cygwin Terminal, in which case both .bash_profile and .bashrc are executed. However, if, from a command prompt window, I run Cygwin.bat both files are also executed. My Cygwin.bat contains this:

Code:
@echo off

C:
chdir C:\cygwin\bin

bash --login -i
AFAIK, with the version I'm using, I did not have to do the Bash related setup that's mentioned in the current Cygwin FAQ. But if the bash start-up files are not being executed in your situation, you might want to try what's mentioned in the FAQ:

Cygwin FAQ, Using .bashrc

HTH.
