Question gentoo install


Hello, I'm not very smart in informatic; I just bought a live DVD with gentoo on it, but I can't see any installer. Who did achieve a good installation? and How ? many thanks

Installing Gentoo is not for the feint of heart. You have to do most of the work yourself, mostly on a command line, and have a touch of insanity (like me ). Which Live CD do you have, the one that boots into X Windows, or the minimal install CD that drops you onto a command line?

It's a long read,but it is accurate. If you've never configured a kernel yourself before and aren't ready to try just yet, use the "genkernel" option when it comes up in the manual.

it's the live DVD.I'm reading the install guide, but it's a little bit difficult for me, because my brain is old, and also because english is'nt my natural language. thanks anyway.
