Angry Genius optical USB mouse not detected in REDHAT 7.3

Im realy new in LINUX! :-) Well, i Know the OS, but when the problem is to install hardware, no can do!!

I have a Genius optical usb mouse and REDHAT 7.3 doesn´t reconize this mouse. But the optical light stills ON, and the pointer doesn´t move!!!

Maybe wrong DEV?


Can anyone tell me FROM WHERE DO I START to install my USB MOUSE?

If you follow this guide I am sure you won't have too many problems. If you still cannot get it working give us the errors from /var/log/XFree86.0.log
