General question on Linux Command


Hi,

I am just learning linux here. Just wondering if I make a copy of a file using
the cp command, will I preserve the same informations like access timestamp and modification timestamp on the new file?

To preserve everyting: cp -p=all source dest

Thanks. How do I only modify the access/modification timestamp of a file?

chmod is a command that tell your system how muxh acces possibilities is granted to a file
chmod ugo=rwx filename
