Geforce 8800 GTX drivers upset my monitor

Hello everyone. I have a problem with my display drivers. When I try to enable the correct drivers for my video card my display gives me an error box that says "Input is not supported". Everything in the background works fine it's just the box bounces around the screen. But when I use Vesa drivers it all works fine.

All help would be really appreciated.

Did you install the NVIDIA drivers? How did you install them? From Nvidia.com, or from your linux distro? Who and what configured your xorg.conf file?

Yes I installed them. I got them from the website. I'm just not using them because of the stupid box. I didn't exit the xorg myself so I guess it did it for me when I used the installer? Possibly? OR it's not edited at all.
