gedit: relocation error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtksourceview-3.0.so.0: symbol xmlReaderForFd, version LIBXML2_2.6.0 not defined in file libxml2.so.2 with link time reference.


I am using ubuntu 12.04.When I want to install Gempak in my os i failed.Then I want to gedit a file it not gedited and giving the above error.

For a start, you can install a working editor. There are 100+.
( No need to use 'gedit'.)

sudo apt-get install leafpad joe nano vim

( 'leafpad' is a simple GUI editor.)


And : When it is convenient, you can update gedit and it's dependencies,
and then try out, if it works again.)
