gdm

i`ve installed debian but when gdm login screen loads keybord and mouse is not responding. how to get into command line coz gdm starts automaticly

If you press CTRL+ALT+F6 you should get a command prompt.
If not, get to the LILO screen (assuming you use lilo, if you use grub then I can't help) type the name of the OS you want to load from the menu (usually Linux or linux) followed by the runlevel you want to enter...probably 2 for command line. So:
