GD Lib

hi, I have a Joomla Site and captcha plugin installed for different forms. But when I go to a form that uses captcha is not displayed and I am getting the bellow message which I found that is caused by GD lib which I already have installed with my PHP 5.2.17

<b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function imagettfbbox() in <b>/home/account_name/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/chrono_verification.php</b> on line <b>35</b><br />

Also I found out that to fix this issue I can run the below line of code but what I would like to know before running it is to know if my website functionality will be affected in any way or if php behavior will be changed at all?

find ext/gd -name '*.lo' -exec rm {} \;

are you trying to install or REMOVE gd lib?

also did you install the php-gd extension?

do this

create a script with the following

Code:

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

and post the output
