Question gcc-4.4.5 installation issue.

hii. guys.
i hope you are doing fine.

i'm trying to install gcc4.4.5 in my pc

1. i downloaded gcc-4.4.5.tar.gz, extracted it.
2. created a folder called build in the gcc-4.4.5
3. changed into that directory and used
Code:
bash ../configure --prefix=/home/testuser/Documents/alternate_gcc/gcc-4.4.5/build/
5. it created a makefile in the build directory.
6. when i tried to make that
Code:
testuser@testuser-desktop:~/Documents/alternate_gcc/gcc-4.4.5/build$ make install
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/testuser/Documents/alternate_gcc/gcc-4.4.5/build'
/bin/sh ../mkinstalldirs /home/testuser/Documents/alternate_gcc/gcc-4.4.5/build/ /home/testuser/Documents/alternate_gcc/gcc-4.4.5/build/
cd: 5: can't cd to ./fixincludes
make[1]: *** [install-fixincludes] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/testuser/Documents/alternate_gcc/gcc-4.4.5/build'
make: *** [install] Error 2
i'm stuck here please help me.

The build folder must be located outside gcc-4.4.5/, like "build-gcc445".
Please read http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-1-a-842567/#2

And then : cd build-gcc445/ &&
../gcc-4.4.5/configure --prefix=<???> --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu --enable-languages=c,c++ --disable-multilib --with-system-zlib --with-gmp-include=$(pwd)/gmp --with-gmp-lib=$(pwd)/gmp/.libs

..
