what do i need to make a gamepad work?
it is a futuretonics usb srtikepad
in fedora core 3

heres what i say
windows has market and friendleness in some areas
linux has: more complete more updates less viruses (alot less) very stable
lots of freeware and u save money.

Try loading the module:

modprobe joydev

and see if that works. You can test your joypad by typing cat /dev/js0. Press some keys on the joypad and see if that works( a bunch of garbage should appear on the console). If not, you may need to load further modules, such as usb-uhci, hid and adi
