Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I am new to linux. I have been playin around for about a week now. I have RedHat 9 installed and I have been trying to get a web server running but I haven't had any luck. I can access my webpage from inside my LAN so I know apache is running, but no one outside it can access it. They just keep getting "Connection Timed out." The strange part is that my ftp server works just fine (not very secure, but hey, I am learning....). This computer is behind a router but the server somputer is set as the DMZ Host so all ports are opened. I even disabled the firewall for linux through Lokkit [just 2 see if that was the problem. But now I have it enabled again(Custom settings to allow web access)]. No luck for anyone outside my network still..
I have no Idea what to do now. I have spent nearly 4 or 5 hours working on it. I wanted to try to figure it out on my own, but sometimes you just need help. Well, now I am asking you guys for help. Anyone have any suggestions?
