FTP server centos w. webgui
 

Hi

I wanna run a FTP server on my Centos Server. I've tryed vsftp but i find i very hard to configure specific users rights.

I tried the webmin vsftpd module but it isent finished yet.

Is there any free ftp server application to centos with a easy web gui? Just as easy as filezilla server is on a windows platform.

While a certain class of GNU/Linux users thinks so running Web or Xorg-based user interfaces is no substitute for the admin knowledge you need for running services properly. http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/pureftpweb.htm lists some user interfaces but only for PureFTPd, all projects are rather old (most recent release of one of the projects is 2007!) and all require either PHP or Xorg (the latter apparently out of question since you already http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-gnome-784189/). Similarly http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/proftpweb.htm lists them for ProFTPd but I haven't even looked at those. As you discovered already there's no easy GUI for VsFTPd except the webmin module.
