Can you ftp from localhost?
Code:
ftp 127.0.0.1
Any firewall?
Error massages?
Which ftp server are you running?

Kind regards

If I try as the following on my Linux machine :
#ftp 127.0.0.1
It is successful. But when I try for ftp to my Linux machine from Windows machine, I get the following message on Windows machine command prompt:
'connection closed by remote host'

Which ftp server are you using?
Did you allow connections from the network?
Firewall?

Kind regards
