fsck

I want to use fsck check the hd,
but after i did that, the linux box can't reboot.
It hanged after display "kernel panic"!!
before that it told me can't mount the file system.
And I use the rescue mode, it also can't mount it.
It seem to lost the / directory.
fdisk told the partition can't found
