from where to get codecs for kubuntu!!!!!!!

i have been in this problem for quite some time now .
videos are not working on my kubuntu 7.10
could you please advice me over from where to download and which type of
codec for the solution of this problem

Check out http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:F...owser_Plug-ins to install the codecs and dvd drivers. You probably will have to add the required repositorys, also mentioned on that page

I use Kubuntu 7.10. If you follow the guide quoted (a) it's for Feisty, not Gutsy and (b) it's for Ubuntu which is Gnome - there are many similarities but e.g. ubuntu-restricted is different from kubuntu-restricted, and gstreamer tends to be for Gnome not KDE.

What kind of videos aren't working?
