Friend and his Dad
 

I've got a friend with a Pentium 2 266 MHz that wants to install Linux on it, and use it as a LAN Call of Duty server. I think this is a great idea that he is trying out Linux. Unfortunately his dad dislikes both Linux and UNIX. I'm not exactly sure whats wrong with this guy, but if you don't like *NIX you've got a serious problem. What should my friend do to convince his dad that he should be allowed to install Linux on his old box?

Ask ihm if theres anyhting in particular he dislikes about linux?

really, it has come a long way in the past few years, and mabye he's had bad experiances in the past but its a better ride now!

Also, if its your friend's whos gonna be doing all the work, he doesn't really have to worry about it!

He would be doing it all by himself, but his father really dislikes it for some reason. He worked with digital UNIX back in the day when it was around. Maybe if I can get a lot of people against this, like a petition of right to use linux, he will let my friend use it.
