Unhappy Freespire won't boot up

I have a pristine cd from a distributor. T22 laptop worked fine with a different HD. I am assuming I missed something in the BIOS or? I have a blank screen.

Thumbs up Freespire won't boot up

Yooy; Thank you for the reply. Problem appears to be a corrupted hard drive. Yes, I had already booted from the CD. Eventually got it to boot with a huge laundry list of errors. Will try a different HD.

Smile (SOLVED)Freespire won't boot up (SOLUTION)

After weeks of frustration and hair pulling I have invested 99cents (eBay) in A Zircom RealPort CardBus Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56k GSM/ISDN. Slides right into my PCMCIA slot. Entered TTY3 on the modem setup configuration. Started up on the first try! NO power supply. No serial cables. Life is good! Note: requires a dual PCMCIA slot. I don't know bout ALL laptops. all of the IBMs I have used DO have the Dual slots.
Thanks to all who replied. Ev
