On Linux Distrubution where you installed FreeNas you have UFS support compiled in?
Check that!

In looking at the attached thumbnail, I see a warning that attempting to use a filesystem other than UFS can produce unpredictable results.

In the error log you provided,
Quote:
Nov 24 02:00:52 root: Error: Failed to mount /dev/ad0p1 using UFS
Nov 24 02:00:52 root: samba service stopped
Nov 24 02:01:11 root: Error: Failed to unmount '/mnt/freenas_ad0'
Nov 24 02:01:49 root: ataidle service restarted
Nov 24 02:02:23 root: Error: Failed to mount /dev/ad1p1 using UFS
Nov 24 02:02:23 root: samba service stopped
Nov 24 02:02:40 root: Error: Failed to mount /dev/ad1p1 using UFS
Nov 23 18:03:57 kernel: GEOM_LABEL: Label ext2fs/New Volume removed.
Nov 23 18:03:57 kernel: GEOM_LABEL: Label for provider ad1s1 is ext2fs/New Volume.
Nov 24 02:03:57 root: Error: Failed to mount /dev/ad1s1 using UFS
Nov 24 02:03:57 root: samba service stopped
Nov 23 18:04:45 kernel: GEOM_LABEL: Label ext2fs/New Volume removed.
Nov 23 18:04:45 kernel: GEOM_LABEL: Label for provider ad1s1 is ext2fs/New Volume.
Nov 24 02:04:45 root: Error: Failed to mount /dev/ad1s1 using UFS
I see failure to mount UFS, and references to ext2fs. If you installed FreeNAS with ext2fs instead of UFS, that could be the source of your problems. You should re-install FreeNAS with the UFS filesystem.
