Question Forward Windows applications to Linux?

Hello!

It's amazing how it's possible to display any Linux application on another Linux machine or on Windows machine (with X Server running).
I can use putty with X11 forwarding on Windows to display any linux application.

Is it possible to do the same on linux, i.e. to run native Windows applications remotely over net ?

Thanks

If you are talking about getting the desktop of windows machine remotely then you can do that using a tool that is available in
Applications > Internet > terminal server client.
This is where it is in Ubuntu. If you are using some other distribution then you may want to search for it.

Not really, I want to display only particular application on Linux, not the whole remote desktop window.

For example I'm connecting via ssh to windows machine and launching one of windows GUI application, let's say - explorer.exe from there and window appears on my Linux desktop.

If you want to run a widows application on Linux then you have Wine.

I don't think wine will run a remote windows command.
