Smile Forward and Reverse Proxy Server with URL redirection

Dear all,

I got a problem on Linux Enterprise version 6.4. I would like to setup a proxy server which is used for my site. I am able to use squid act as a forward proxy and url redirection. I wanted to configure with reverse proxy at the same time. Is there any idea for setup squid fulfilling my needs. I would like the server to be Transparent Forward and Reverse Proxy function and url redirection. Please advise. Apart from Squid, is iptables able to do that. Please advise if you have any solutions.

Kind Regards
Stanley

We have used Apache HTTPD as URL proxy server and it works best for me. You may want to look into varnish cache as the cache and proxying.
