Question formatting HD


what would be the best way to formatt a harddrive for a fresh start to install red hat? i have 2 computers, so i could switch HDs around if necessary.

Welcome to LQ.

Just choose to remove existing partitions during the install.

Redhat during install will use or launch DiskDruid to partition and format your drives, which would be the best way or option.

ahh, excellent! makes it too easy for me to forgett my old windows problems! too bad my other machine has music programs that are for windows, or it would get some linux too
