Forgot use name and password for login after bootup.

Hello im new er than a newbe im afraid in some respects. I purchased soemtime ago a panasonic cf-45. It has been setting for a long time but I recently wanted to get it going again. Unfortunately I dont have the user name and password one would use after the boot up occurs. I have read a little but the best thing Ive seen is th eidea of taking the battery out and letting the unit sit for a while. Would this be likely the easiest thing to try first, as I wouldnt be able to begin to use commands and such to rest the computer. Any help will be greatfully appreciated.

Hi and welcome to LQ.

So you bought it and can't log in to it? If so, you should contact the seller.

Anyway, what operating system does it have?

Are you talking about a password on the hardware setup?
Did you do a search for the manuals?

You could try a live cd and test the unit out to see if all the parts are working.

After that you could install a Linux OS on it.

No its I would call the regular username and password after the unit boots up . I have a feeling that trying a a live cd would be the easiest thing to try. There are stores here with plenty linux magazines with linux cds that come with them.
