First, this is on the wrong forum ("suggestions & feedback", this hardly is either one), you should have written it to "general" or something. Maybe a mod will move it.
Second, there are already many threads about resetting ("recovering") a lost root password on Linux based operating systems. The task is easy, especially if you have not taken any (or only few) steps to harden your OS' security, so it probably takes you a minute or so -- the fastest route is to boot into a single user mode and either simply run passwd as root or simply clear one field from the shadow file. Anyway, these methods (and probably others) are described well in other threads so I suggest you use the search tool found at the top of the page to find the threads. This is what you should do in the first place before writing a new thread: check to see if it's already answered (when you start a new thread, when writing the first post, you can check if similar threads exists by clicking a button near the "topic" field).
