For newbies(like me): A great page to look at!

I know you moderators dont like people to post general answers to questions that may not have even been asked yet but i found a very good page... i have only been using linux for 6 days now but this page has totally helped me understand a lot of concepts, philosophies, and origins behind linux... i have went over it with a fine tooth comb twice now and things are coming quick to me just because of this page and the very useful help i have gotten from this forum:

check out:

very useful for newbies

nope.. we encourage links like these to help out, it cuts down on the questions we seem to answer over and over and over again..

'course... we're also trying to get jeremy to host stuff like that natively so we don't have to remember a million different web addresses ...

but, linux.org is on the links - it's a great linux resource. god knows we encourage people to look around a bit before asking.
