Foomatic, CUPS, Xerox ColorQube 9201 and LibreOffice

This is my very first post, so apologies if the post is in the wrong thread.
Here at my work we have several Linux users (all Fedora 16-18 x64) and one network printer, a Xerox ColorQube 9201.
However we do not have a print server.
So for ease of configuration and maintenance all Linux users add the printer through CUPS using IPP: ipp://printername:631/ipp/.
For driver we provide a PPD file "Adobe Systems PostScript(R) Printer Description File" "Release 08/29/2002 - 0.1".
This setup works for printing pdf files and browser pages but not for documents from Libre office. It just prints unreadable "code".
A solution for this issue is using spadmin to set the Printer Language Type to Postscript instead of PDF. But spadmin does not always seem to save the settings.
So I did some digging and arrived at a page of LinuxFoundation.org where they recommend using Foomatic and a printer driver from the OpenPrinting Database.
And although this database lists plenty of Xerox printers, the Xerox ColorQube 9201 is not listed.
So now I have no idea how to proceed.

Foomatic isn't what you want: that's for converting Postscript files into something else. I think this may be it:

Alternatively, this may be a spadmin solution
